GHETTO BEAT PRODUCTIONS
About
Ghetto Beat Productions is a record label formed in 2006 by Ralston "Rallo Culture" Brown, son of the late reggae saxophonist Lenox (Lennox) Brown of King Tubbys and the Aggrovators. Rallo Culture's musical influences were derived from youthful experiences of being around and interacting with the greats such as Joe Gibbs, Bunny Lee, Chin Randy's (now VP Records) alongside a host of musicians and singers such as Dennis Brown, Bobby Ellis, Richard "Dirty Harry" Hall, Leroy Sibbles, Tommy McCook, Leroy "Horse Mouth" Wallace and Headly Bennet to name a few.
Ghetto Beat Productions, in 2006, launched it's debut album titled "The Culture Shock Riddim". This was a remake of Junior Murvin's "Police and Thief". The album featured Junior Murvin, Prezident Brown, Rallo Culture, K'Von Lewis (The first winner of Jamaica's "Rising Star") alongside other local artistes; which includes Oba Simba and Lennie I, just to name a few.
As the landscape of the music business changed, owner Ralston "Rallo Culture" Brown, took a hiatus from the mainstream. Now back in the production mode, Ghetto Beat has produced and released it's latest album, "Father & Son + One, The Album" and on the wings there is an EP titled "Blind Eye To Devil", slated for release in the summer of 2022. This EP features JoshMic (of the American rap group Seeyousoon), Louie Culture, Rallo Culture and K'Von.
The focus of Ghetto Beat Productions is to produce and promote authentic roots based reggae music; consequently spreading the message of Yah's love all over the globe.
